Jarvis, TAMUT, OLLU, and Xavier will compete in the NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships
WACO, Texas (May 19, 2026) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) will present the 45th Annual Women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships from May 20-22 at Karl Straus Track in Asheville, N.C. Joining the field this year are Xavier University of Louisiana, Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), Texas A&M University-Texarkana, and Jarvis Christian University (Texas).
Leading off the qualifiers, as the Red River Athletic Conference's 2026 Women's Track and Field Champions, Xavier University of Louisiana will send three athletes to this year's competition: Rochelle Jeffries, Charleon Doxley, and Jade Harris, all qualifying in the 100m hurdles.
Jeffries' time of 14.01 (achieved at RRAC meet) is the 14th best in the NAIA. A second behind her at 14.02 (achieved at RRAC meet) is Doxley (16th best), and Harris' time is 14.05 (achieved at Southern Miss Invitational) (17th best). Jeffries won the event at the RRAC meet, while Doxley placed second, and Harris fourth. Additionally, Jeffries was named the RRAC's High Point Track Athlete of the Year.
The prelims will take place on May 21 at 1 p.m. Qualifiers will move on to the finals on May 22 at 2:30 p.m.
Gold Nuggets athletes have qualified for nationals at least 23 times since the early 2000s.
Turning to Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), the RRAC runners-up will send one individual to the national tournament. Lawren Tanner qualified in the long jump with a mark of 5.79m (achieved at UTSA Invitational). She will compete on May 20 at 1 p.m.
This continues OLLU's tradition, as the school has sent 16 women to nationals since the program began in 2014.
Similarly, Texas A&M University – Texarkana has one individual qualifier. Vinae Edwards will compete in the triple jump with a third-best mark of 12.19m (achieved at Ole Miss Classic). She won the event at the RRAC meet and will compete on May 21 at 3:30 p.m.
The Eagles most recently sent student-athletes to nationals in 2023, 2024, and 2026.
Finally, Jarvis Christian University (Texas) will send one athlete to nationals – Sanaa Allison-Williams. She will compete in the high jump with a seventh-best mark of 1.73m (achieved at RRAC meet). She won the event at the RRAC meet and will compete on May 22 at 1 p.m.
Jarvis Christian's track record at nationals includes qualifying fewer than five individual athletes to date.
