Top-Seed LSUA leads the 2026 RRAC Softball Championship Tournament that begins April 30
WACO, Texas (April 30, 2026) – The 2026 RRAC Softball Championship kicks off today, with top-seed LSU Alexandria entering as the frontrunner. The tournament will pause on Friday due to expected rain and continue Friday-Monday, May 1-4. Louisiana Christian will host the event in Pineville, Texas.

The format features eight teams on the field and uses a double-elimination format.
Joining LSUA in this year's tournament are second-seed Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), third-seed Texas A&M University-Texarkana, fourth-seed Texas A&M University-Victoria, fifth-seed Texas A&M University-San Antonio, sixth-seed Xavier University of Louisiana, seventh-seed Louisiana Christian University, and eighth-seed University of the Southwest (N.M.).
LSUS broke OLLU's fifth-straight regular-season title to win this year. In 2021, LSUA and TAMUT shared the title; in 2019, A&M-Victoria won; and in 2018, LSUA shared the crown with OLLU. LSUA also won in 2015 and 2017; OLLU captured the title in 2014; A&M-Victoria also won in 2016. Capturing the postseason title includes: 2014, 2018 (share), 2023, 2025 (OLLU); 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 (share), 2019, 2024 (LSUA); 2018, 2021 (A&M-Victoria); 2022 (TAMUT).
Game One: Fourth-Seed Texas A&M-Victoria vs. Fifth-Seed Texas A&M-San Antonio
TEXAS A&M-VICTORIA finished fourth in the RRAC regular season with a 17-10 record, and stands 26-16 overall. The Jaguars hit .326, with 355 hits and 240 runs. They tallied 75 stolen bases and a 3.58 ERA, with a .938 fielding percentage across 262 innings.
The Jaguars are led by Alyssa Carter, who is 46-for-11 with a batting average of .414. Zoe Hardy is 9-6 with an ERA of .329 and 62 strikeouts.
TEXAS A&M-SAN ANTONIO placed sixth at 17-10 and is now 24-16. The Jaguars hit .339 with 360 hits and 254 runs, 62 stolen bases, a 3.31 ERA, and a .976 fielding percentage over 251 innings.
The Jaguars are led by Kaylee Barlos, who is 60-for-132 and has a batting average of .455. Krisilyn Corral is 15-3 on the season with an ERA of 2.99 and 92 strikeouts.
Game Two: Top-Seed LSU Alexandria vs. Eighth-Seed Southwest
LSU ALEXANDRIA finished first in the RRAC at 23-4, now 31-14. The Generals hit .345 with 408 hits, 322 runs, 172 stolen bases, a 3.07 ERA, and a .954 fielding percentage over 282 innings.
The Generals are led by Kilee Moody, who is 55-for-139, 39 RBIs, and five home runs. Lainee Bailey is 15-5, with an ERA of 1.70 and 99 strikeouts. Rylee Guillot is 10-0 with a 3.22 ERA.
SOUTHWEST finished eighth with a 5-22 RRAC record, now 7-30 overall. The Mustangs hit .261, recorded 240 hits, 138 runs, an 8.37 ERA, and a .945 fielding percentage in 219 innings.
The Mustangs are led by Yesenia Rodriguez, who is 23-for-59 with a batting average of .390. Cali Saldana is 2-16 with an ERA of 7.91.
Game Three: Second-Seed Our Lady of the Lake vs. Seventh-Seed Louisiana Christian
OUR LADY OF THE LAKE was second at 22-5, now 34-9. The Saints hit .358, with 375 hits, 294 runs, 48 stolen bases, a 2.26 ERA, and a .971 fielding percentage over 245 innings.
The Saints are led by Lily Rocha, who is 40-for-93 with a .430 batting average. Annika Litterio is 22-6 for an ERA of 1.83, 145.2 innings pitched, and 139 strikeouts.
LOUISIANA CHRISTIAN finished sixth at 12-15 in RRAC, now 22-23. The Wildcats hit .273 with 292 hits, 210 runs, 124 stolen bases, a 4.02 ERA, and a .957 fielding percentage across 280 innings.
The Wildcats are led by Mariel Medrano, who is 42-for-135, with a batting average of .311. Olivia Falcon is 10-8 with a 2.37 ERA and 79 strikeouts.
Game Four: Third-Seed Texas A&M-Texarkana vs. Sixth-Seed Xavier
TEXAS A&M-TEXARKANA posted a 21-5 record and is now 34-12. The Eagles hit .340 with 408 hits, 302 runs, 71 stolen bases, a 2.58 ERA, and a .976 fielding percentage over 293 innings.
The Eagles are led by Mackenzie Williams, who is 57-for 118 with a batting average of .483. Rylee Glenn is 13-3 and has an ERA of 1.92. She has 105 strikeouts.
XAVIER and LCU tied at 12-15, with Xavier winning the tiebreaker. The Gold Nuggets are 18-28, hit .274 with 332 hits, 220 runs, 109 stolen bases, a 4.49 ERA, and a .957 fielding percentage in 297 innings.
The Gold Nuggets are led by Lexi McLin, who is 52-for-145, with a .359 batting average, 38 RBIs, and five home runs. Morgan Malveaux is 9-6, with an ERA of 3.39 and 82 strikeouts.
Rest of the tournament
The tournament will continue on April 30 with Game Five between the losers of the first and second games. Game Six will feature the loser of the third game vs. the loser of the fourth game. In Game Seven, the winners of the first and second games will play, followed by the winners of the third and fourth games.
On May 2, Game Nine will be between the loser of the seventh game vs. the winner of the sixth game. Game 10 is between the loser of the eighth game and the winner of the ninth game. Game 11 will feature the winners of the seventh and eighth games, and Game 12 will feature the winners of the 11th and 13th games.
On May 3, the loser of the 11th game and the winner of the 12th game will play. Game 14 will feature the winners of the 11th and 13th games.
Monday, May 4, will be Game 15, if necessary, between the loser and winner of the 11th game.
