RRAC Baseball Championship Field Finalized: A&M-Victoria, LSUS, OLLU and TAMUT

WACO, Texas (April 26, 2026) – The final four teams emerge after the opening rounds of the 2026 RRAC Baseball Championship conclude. Advancing to the Final Site are top-seed Texas A&M University-Victoria, second-seed LSU Shreveport, fifth-seed Our Lady of the Lake University, and sixth-seed Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
 

LSU Shreveport vs. University of the Southwest | 10-0/8-7 

 
LSUS shut out the Mustangs 10-0 in the first game. For the Pilots, Dorien Jackson and Vega each had three hits, while Makana Olaso contributed two. Jackson homered, driving in two runs, and Olaso also homered and drove in three runs. Meanwhile, Carlos Sanchez and Walton each stole two bases. Finally, Brock Lucas (9-2) secured the win by pitching seven innings and striking out 12.
 
USW's Santiago Garcia had two hits, and JJ Rosales and Jackson Anderson added one.
 
In the second game, the Pilots defeated the Mustangs 8-7. LSUS connected on 15-of-43 hits. Vega and Quaterrion Walton led the offense with three hits each, driving the team to an 8-7 win in 11 innings. Olaso recorded three RBIs, while Walton contributed two. For extra-base hits, Spencer Sullivan, Evan Grant, Vega, Olaso, Walton, and Sanchez all doubled—Sanchez had two—while Vega and Walton each hit a triple. On the bases, Nathaniel De La Cruz, Ashten Wong, and Walton each stole two bases.
 
Santiago Garcia, March Gonzales, Alex Montiel, and JJ Rosales each contributed two hits for the Mustangs. Gonzales and Alesandro Morrison each drove in one run, Montiel accounted for two RBIs, and Rosales added three RBIs.
 
The Mustangs end their season with an 11-16 conference record and 15-32 overall.
 
The Pilots advance to the Final Site Tournament, where they will face Texas A&M University-Texarkana on May 3 at 5 p.m.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana vs. LSU Alexandria | 5-4/5-16/9-6

 
TAMUT snuck by LSUA 5-4 in the first game. Ahmar Donatto led the Eagles, going 4-for-5 with four singles. Brandon Sheets was 2-for-4, hitting a home run and a triple while driving in three runs. Austin Kerns also homered and drove in one run. In relief, Tanner Duncan (4-2) earned the win by pitching 1.1 innings, and Donatto secured the save by recording the final out with 0.1 innings pitched.
 
Landon Langley led the Generals after going 2-for-4, adding an RBI. Shae Thibodeaux added a home run, and Cameren Parks hit a double.
 
LSUA came back in the second game to defeat the Eagles 16-5. The Generals scored in every inning except the sixth in this run-rule game. Dalton Wilson led, going 3-for-5 with two runs and four RBIs. Lane Kratzer, Trevor Dooley, and Evan Rohlfs-Schadel tallied three RBIs each. Parks and Kratzer also had three hits. Colin Ardoin (2-0) pitched 5.1 innings and struck out four to earn the win.
 
Sheets went 2-for-2 and had two RBIs for the Eagles. Donatto and Landon West had a double each, and Jayce Blalock and Landon West also had an RBI.
 
TAMUT won the third game 9-6 to advance to the Final Site. Donatto went 3-for-6 with three runs, including a home run, and an RBI, while Michael Caputo went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs, also hitting a home run. Additionally, Duncan added a triple, and Donatto tallied two stolen bases. To close out the game, Remi Rountree (3-2) secured the win by pitching six innings and striking out four.
 
Cade LaBruyere led the Generals after going 3-for-5, adding three RBIs.
 
The Generals end their season with a 20-7 regular-season record and 33-15 overall.

Our Lady of the Lake University vs. Louisiana Christian University | 1-3/15-6/6-0

 
OLLU dropped the first game against Louisiana Christian 3-1. The Wildcats were led by Drake Aldridge, who hit a home run and drove in two runs. Caleb Brown and Braden Trull each hit a double. Kade Linn secured the win by pitching 8.1 innings and striking out six batters. Colton Wills (6 saves) earned the save by pitching 0.2 innings.
 
The Saints were led by Joshua Milton, who went 2-for-4, and Aiden Gonzales, who went 2-for-3. Both Milton and Gonzales, as well as Benjamyn Hovda, added doubles.
 
The Saints came back to win the second game of the series, 15-6. Noah Ferraro (8-1) earned the win, pitching seven innings and striking out four batters. At the plate, Milton went 3-for-4, scoring three runs and driving in three RBIs, while Jacob Cueva also went 3-for-4, contributing three RBIs. Brett Atkinson went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. In addition, Hovda, Gonzales (who had 2 RBIs), Christian Martinez, Diego Zuniga, and Nicolas Flores each added RBIs.
 
LCU's Trull went 2-for-3, adding two runs and three RBIs. Chris Kelley went 2-for-4 and added two home runs and two RBIs.
 
With the series tied 1-1, the Saints came back to win the 6-0 shutout and will advance to the Final Site. Leading OLLU, Cueva went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs. In addition, Zuniga also homered and drove in a run, while Milton contributed an RBI. On the mound, Omar Rodriguez (5-2) pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out seven. Meanwhile, Jack Kalisky, Gonzales, and Cueva each recorded two doubles, and Milton tallied two as well.
 
Trull went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs. Kelley went 2-for-4, adding two home runs and two RBIs.
 
The Wildcats end their season with a 19-8 conference record and a 35-13 overall record.
 
OLLU will get set to play A&M-Victoria on May 2 at 1 p.m.

Texas A&M University-Victoria vs. Jarvis Christian University | 10-0/11-4

 
A&M-Victoria defeated JCU in the first game. Jonathan Jones (11-3) pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out six for the 10-0 win. Meanwhile, Connor Kaiser went 2-for-3 at the plate and recorded five RBIs. Ty Booze added a double and scored two runs. Beck Zimmerman, Garret Smith, and Jose Montanez each contributed an RBI.
 
Eric Alonso, Adrian Cazares, Angel Arpero, and Aiden Serda each had a hit for the Bulldogs.
 
The Jaguars won the second game 11-4. Kaiser led A&M-Victoria by going 3-for-5, delivering a triple, driving in two runs, and scoring twice. Meanwhile, Antonio Benitez contributed by going 2-for-4, scoring two runs, and adding an RBI. Additionally, Smith, Montanez, Roberto Olguin, and Xavier Ortega each chipped in with one RBI apiece. Alton  Morgan went 3-for-5, including a double, and added a run and an RBI. William Terry went 3-for-4.
 
The Bulldogs end their season with a 4-23 conference record and a 4-32 overall record.
