A&M-Texarkana's Caldwell, Dieter win RRAC Golfer of the Week awards

WACO, Texas (March 23, 2026) – Texas A&M-Texarkana has swept the RRAC's Golfer of the Week awards: Rylen Caldwell is Men's Golfer of the Week, and Ella Dieter is Women's Golfer of the Week for the dates of March 16-22. This is the fifth set of the weekly awards.

RRAC Men's Golfer of the Week – Rylen Caldwell – Texas A&M-Texarkana

Junior Rylen Caldwell was the highest-placing Eagle in the inaugural Texarkana Invitational hosted at Texarkana Country Club. Despite freezing temperatures and frigid wind on day one, Caldwell finished strong and tied for second overall. Caldwell shot a first-round 78, followed by a second-round 75, and a third-round 76 for 229 (+13). There were 48 golfers and eight teams in the tournament.

The Eagles placed fifth overall. They posted rounds of +43, +32, and +16. TAMUT finished behind Tyler JC (Texas), Henderson State (Ark.), Texas A&M-Victoria, and Western Texas. In sixth place was Blinn (Texas), followed by Texas A&M-San Antonio, and Hesston (Kan.).

Caldwell is a native of Colorado Springs, Colo.

TAMUT is ranked No. 51 in the Scoreboard NAIA rankings.  Caldwell is ranked No. 142 over 1,000 individuals in the NAIA.

RRAC Women's Golfer of the Week – Ella Dieter – Texas A&M-Texarkana

Junior Ella Dieter tied for fifth place in the inaugural Texarkana Invitational at the Texarkana Country Club. The team battled through frigid weather. Dieter led the way for the Eagles, carding a round-one 89 and round-two 87 for a final 176 (+32).

There was a total of 12 golfers, along with participants from Tyler Junior College (Texas), Texas A&M-Victoria (Independent), and the Eagles. TAMUT placed second behind Tyler with a round-one 76 and a round-two +70 for a final 722 (+146)

TAMUT is ranked No. 75 in the Scoreboard NAIA rankings.  Dieter is ranked 400 among more than 900 NAIA golfers.

RRAC Notebook:

  • Louisiana Christian senior Blake Francis picked up a top-10 finish at the Hal Sutton Invitational with a +8 (152) over the two rounds, coming in ninth. He was +7 (79) on day one before a solid +1 (73) on day two to move up into the top-10.
  • TAMUV senior Lucky Boonsrirat turned in a career-best finish at T-2 during the Texarkana Invitational. The New Braunfels, Texas native led the field in Par 3 scoring and tied for the second-most pars with 32 over three rounds.
  • TAMUT junior Ella Dieter finished in a tie for 48th in the 2026 Arkansas Collegiate. She tallied +22 and +10, and the Eagles placed 12th.
