LSUS advances to women's tournament semifinals after defeating OLLU

WACO, Texas (Feb. 24, 2026) – Top-seeded LSU Shreveport dominated eighth-seeded Our Lady of the Lake (Texas), 84-41, in the Quarterfinals Day One of the 2026 RRAC Women's Basketball Tournament.

The Pilots will get set for their opponent, either Xavier (La.) or LSU Alexandria, who play on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The semifinal game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m.

From tip-off, LSUS commanded the game, limiting the Saints to four made free throws in the first quarter and eight points in the second quarter, while posting 43 points at the half.

The Pilots had four players scoring in double figures, led by Selma Markisic with 25, Paula Gonzalez Herrero with 14, Katie Ambrose with 10, and Toni Coleman with 12, adding 11 rebounds for a double-double. LSUS made 34-of-62 from the field, 9-of-18 three pointers, and 7-of-15 from the charity stripe. They added 43 rebounds, 18 assists, 17 steals, and 10 blocks. The Pilots are currently 25-4.

OLLU was led by Alexandra Westerdijk Martin, who scored 16 points. The Saints finished with 12-of-56 from the field, 5-of-26 from three-point range, and 12-of-12 free throws. They posted 32 rebounds, nine assists, and 12 steals. OLLU concludes their season with a 9-20 overall record and an 8-14 conference record.
