WACO, Texas (Feb. 9, 2026) – Capturing this week's RRAC Women's Hoops Players of the Week awards are LSU Alexandria's Sydney Person for offense and Louisiana Christian's Kylei Leblanc for defense for the dates of Feb. 2-8. This is the 14th set of awards.

RRAC Offensive Player of the Week – Sydney Person – LSU Alexandria

Freshman guard Sydney Person led her team to a 67-59 win over Texas College and an 82-56 victory over Jarvis Christian University (Texas). She contributed 24 points, four assists, two steals, and seven rebounds against the Steers. Against the Bulldogs, she added 25 points, two assists, one steal, and six rebounds.

Person leads her team in shooting while connecting on 135-of-271 field goals and a total of 322 points at 14.0 points/game. She's second in rebounds with 111. Her scores this weekend were her second-best of the season behind her 30-point performance against Texas A&M-San Antonio.

LSUA is 11-12 overall and 10-8 in conference play.

RRAC Defensive Player of the Week – Kylei Leblanc – Louisiana Christian

Sophomore forward Kylei Leblanc averaged seven defensive rebounds, five steals, and three-and-a-half blocked shots during LCU's two games last week (70-38 win over JCU/66-52 loss to TXC). She also averaged 24 points while shooting 50 percent from the field. Leblanc hit 33.3 percent from three-point range and made all 17 of her free-throw attempts.

Leblanc leads her team with 125-of-271 field goals (46%). She leads in free throws, with 114 made at a 72% accuracy rate (second-best in the RRAC). In total, Leblanc tallies a team-best 339 points for 15.4 points per game, 153 rebounds for 9.3 rebounds per game (second-best in RRAC), 66 steals, and 47 blocks (best in the RRAC).

LCU is 3-20 overall and 2-15 in the RRAC.

RRAC Notebook:

• UNTD junior forward De'Asia Johnson averaged 21.5 points with a pair of team-leading offensive performances for the Trailblazers last week. She scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and swiped three steals against TAMUSA. Johnson followed that performance with 25 points, six rebounds, two steals, and a block versus first-place (RV 17) LSU Shreveport. The team suffered two losses to TAMUSA (78-65) and to LSUS (77-57).
• NAU senior guard Savannah Velazquez scored seven points in her team's 66-65 loss to OLLU, and 15 points in her team's 79-68 victory over TAMUSA. She totaled seven assists, three steals, and 13 rebounds.
• OLLU senior guard Alexandra Westerdijk Martin scored 51 points, added four assists, and five steals in her team's victories over Southwest (N.M.) (81-56) and over NAU (66-65), plus a loss to XULA (57-52). In all three games, Martin recorded double-doubles.
• XULA's Alicia Blanton added 31 points total in her team's 70-61 victory over Dillard, 14 points in her team's 59-57 loss to TAMUSA, and seven in XULA's 57-52 victory over OLLU.
• NAU Jerkayla Dickey recorded two double-doubles last week with 11 rebounds and 18 points in her team's 66-65 loss to OLLU and 11 rebounds and 22 points in her team's 79-68 victory over TAMUSA.
