RRAC men's tennis feature teams from OLLU, Texarkana and Xavier
WACO, Texas (Feb. 7, 2026) – The RRAC men's tennis season began in mid-January, featuring teams from Our Lady of the Lake (Texas), Texas A&M-Texarkana, and Xavier (La.). This season, OLLU will compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. TAMUT and XULA will compete in the NAIA Affiliated Group during the postseason.
In the 2025 NAIA Unaffiliated Group Men's Tennis Tournament, RRAC teams joined schools from the Great Southwest Athletic Conference, Cascade Collegiate Conference, HBCU Athletic Conference, and the Continental Athletic Conference. Qualifiers included No. 1-seed OLLU, No. 2-seed XULA, No. 3-seed Dillard (La.), No. 4-seed Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), No. 5-seed TAMUT, No. 6-seed Arizona Christian, No. 7-seed Ottawa (Ariz.), No. 8-seed Hope International (Calif.), No. 9-seed Rust (Miss.), and No. 10-seed Northern New Mexico. In the championship tournament in mid-April, OLLU captured the Championship Trophy after defeating XULA 4-0 at the Saints' home court, Blossom Tennis Center.
Joining OLLU (0-1) at nationals in Mobile, La., were XULA (2-1) and Dillard (1-1).
In November, the NAIA announced the NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll. Earning their spot in the poll were XULA at No. 9, OLLU at No. 11, and TAMUT, which received 29 points.
OLLU welcomes new Head Coach Ross Marzetti, who took over his role after the departure of Dave Watts. The team returns graduate student Jacob Gailey, juniors Jaroslav Majsajdr, Caleb Olen, Joao Castro, and Paulo Goncalves Ceolin, and sophomores Louis Bocquet, Luis Jimenez, and Matis Nuziere. The Saints added a junior and four freshmen. OLLU finished the 2025 season with a 20-2 record.
Brian Nelson coaches the TAMUT team. Returners include seniors Matias Panaranda and Sebastian Romanos, and sophomores Alvaro Tormo Lopez and Fabio Veiga. The Eagles add seven freshmen. TAMUT concluded the 2025 season with a 13-8 record.
XULA Head Coach Alan Green returns for his 23rd season. Returners include seniors Nereo Suarez and VanDer Woody, junior Ivan Vazquez, and sophomores Pedro Maggi and Gabriel Veliz. New to the team are four freshmen and one junior. Last season, the Gold Rush marked a 15-10 record.
The teams began competing in a handful of matches in the fall, with all teams beginning their official spring season in mid-January. Below are the results as of Feb. 7.
