LSUS' Markisic, Coleman sweep RRAC Women's Hoops Players of the Week
WACO, Texas (Feb. 2, 2026) – LSU Shreveport swept the RRAC Women's Hoops Players of the Week honors with Selma Markisic winning Offensive Player of the Week and Toni Coleman claiming Defensive Player of the Week. This is the 13th set of awards for the dates Jan. 26-Feb. 1.
RRAC Offensive Player of the Week – Selma Markisic – (RV 17) LSU Shreveport
Graduate guard Selma Markisic averaged 25.5 points a game as the Pilots went 2-0 for the week. She had a field goal percentage of 51.4 percent, 45 percent from beyond the arc, and 66.7 percent at the free-throw line. In LSUS' 73-32 win over Louisiana Christian, Markisic logged 28 points, three assists, and six blocks. She tallied 23 points in her team's 78-54 win over LSU Alexandria.
Markisic leads her team with 418 points for 19.9 points/game. In the RRAC, she ranks first with 114-235 field goals and in threes with 48-133. Markisic has won Offensive Player of the Week five times this season.
LSUS is 19-2 overall and 15-0 in conference. The team is first in the NAIA with 1,553 points, with 74.0 points/game, 43.5 field goal percentage, and 16.0 steals/game. In addition, the Pilots are on an NAIA-best winning streak at 15.

RRAC Defensive Player of the Week – Toni Coleman – (RV 17) LSU Shreveport
Junior Toni Coleman scored 16.5 points per game and had 13 steals as LSUS went 2-0 over the week. She also had nine rebounds, nine assists, and 13 steals. She scored 18 in her team's 73-32 victory over LCU and 15 points in the 78-54 win over LSUA.
Coleman has tallied a team-best 104 steals and 87 assists. She has won Defensive Player of the Week five times and Offensive Player of the Week once.

- LSUA freshman guard Sydney Person tallied 21 points and three assists in her team's 70-56 loss to TAMUT and 78-54 loss to LSUS.
- UNTD junior forward De'Asia Johnson led the Trailblazers offensively in two games on the road last week. She was two points shy of tying a career-high with 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to register her fifth double-double of the season. Johnson played on fire in the first half against NAU, amassing 22 points and nine rebounds in that span. Johnson averaged 20 points and 9.5 rebounds over the two contests in her team's losses to NAU (85-76) and XULA (73-55).
- NAU senior guard Savannah Velazquez scored 32 points in her team's 85-76 victory over UNTD. She added four assists and three steals.
- LCU junior center Carlea Owens contributed 28 points in her team's 73-32 loss to LSUS and 74-62 loss against TAMUT.
- OLLU junior guard Shayla Dede scored 26 points in her team's 59-50 victory over Texas College and 78-32 win over Jarvis Christian (Texas).
- TAMUT senior guard Breyionce George scored 14 points in her team's 70-56 win against LSUA and seven in the 74-62 victory over LCU.
- XULA's Alicia Blanton posted a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double to go along with three assists and two steals in the only game this week, a 73-55 win over UNTD. Southwest (N.M.) forfeited its game against XULA last week.
- UNTD senior guard Shandrea Yeldell contributed to multiple statistical categories for the Trailblazers this week. She tied a career-high eight assists at NAU swiped a combined nine steals with at least four each outing. She pulled down a team-high seven rebounds at XULA.
- NAU junior guard Jerkayla Dickey tallied three rebounds, four steals, and five assists in her team's 85-76 victory over UNTD.
- TAMUT sophomore guard Chioma Treasure Emeh tied a program record with eight steals in a single game against LCU.
