RRAC Men's Soccer Championship Match Features LSU Shreveport and Xavier

WACO, Texas (Nov. 12, 2025) – Regular-season champion and first-seed LSU Shreveport will face third-seed Xavier University of Louisiana to capture the 2025 RRAC Men's Soccer Championship trophy on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 3:30 p.m. Texas A&M-Texarkana will host the finals at the Judy Kelley Morgan Field.

LSU Shreveport has been a formidable force in the conference, capturing the last four regular-season titles. The Pilots also won in 2018. The team has won just one post-season crown, in 2022 over Louisiana Christian, 3-1. This year, the Pilots earned the regular-season title with a 10-1 record.

LSUS leads the conference with 50 goals, 46 assists, and 146 points. The Pilots are also on top with 326 shots for a shooting percentage of .153. They have the second-lowest goals against with 15, and they lead with nine shutouts.

All-Conference First-Team and Offensive Player of the Year Jack Thomas excels on offense with a league-leading 18 goals, 11 assists, 47 points, 70 shots, and 37 shots on goal. First-Team winner Jaime Zani is close behind him with 11 goals, 10 assists, 38 shots, and 25 shots on goal. Second-Team winner Sondre Liahagen-Kolnes has tallied 26 saves.

Xavier University of Louisiana finished the conference with a 7-3-1 record. The Gold Rush has not won either the regular or postseason championships. Last season as the second-seed, XULA fell to Louisiana Christian, 2-0, in the finals. In 2023, the Gold Rush ended its season in the semifinals after losing to Louisiana Christian, 2-0.

The Gold Rush is fourth in the conference with 38 goals, 34 assists, and 110 points. The team has a league-leading nine shutouts and the fewest goals against, with only 12.

All-Conference First Team and Newcomer of the Year Iman Ouedraogo has 13 goals, 10 assists, 36 points, 68 shots, and 31 shots on goal. Antonio Merola added five goals and seven assists. Keeper Breno Zanolla has tallied 32 saves.
