LSUS and Xavier Vie for RRAC Women's Soccer Postseason Title

WACO, Texas (Nov. 12, 2025) – Top-seed LSU Shreveport and third-seed Xavier University of Louisiana will vie for the 2025 RRAC Women's Soccer Championship trophy on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. Texas A&M-Texarkana will host the finals at the Judy Kelley Morgan Field.

LSU Shreveport is vying for its third tournament crown. The Pilots' previous victories were in 2020, when they defeated Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) 1-0, and in 2018, when they won over LSU Alexandria, 2-0. LSUS earned the regular-season title for the second consecutive year with a 10-1 record.

The Pilots are second in the RRAC with 69 goals, 46 assists, and .230 shooting. LSUS has taken 300 shots and has recorded 85 saves.

All-Conference First-Team winner Jade Derks leads her team with 15 goals, and she leads the conference with 11 assists. Second-Team All-Conference winner Halee Hernandez has marked 48 shots, 24 on goal. Keeper Elena Lopez is third in the conference with 84 saves.

Xavier hasn't won the regular-season crown since 2023, and the Gold Nuggets captured the tournament title in 2024. Last season, XULA was the third seed and defeated fourth-seed LSU Alexandria 2-2 (2-1 PKs). As the top seed in 2023, the Gold Muggets fell to fourth-seed LSUA 2-0 in the semifinal round.

XULA leads the conference with 71 goals, 59 assists, and 16 goals against. The Gold Nuggets is third in shooting with 359 and second in shutouts with nine. XULA set an undefeated 8-0-3 conference record.

All-Conference First-Team winner Samira Roper leads the RRAC with 25 goals and 53 points. She also leads her team with 65 shots, 43 on goal. First-Team winner Luisa Bella has 35 saves.
