RRAC Women's Soccer Quarterfinals Set for 1 p.m. Today
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 6, 2025) – The RRAC begins the 2025 RRAC Women's Soccer postseason this afternoon with the first of two quarterfinal first-round matches. Competitions, both scheduled for 1 p.m., feature No. 3-seed Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) vs. No. 6-seed Texas A&M-Victoria on Thursday, and on Friday, No. 5-seed Texas A&M-Texarkana vs. No. 4-seed LSU Alexandria.
Last season, third-seeded Xavier (La.) defeated fourth-seeded Generals, 2-2 (2-1 PKs), to win the conference championship. OLLU, the seventh seed, fell to Louisiana Christian in the quarterfinals, and TAMUV, the sixth seed, lost to XULA, also in the quarterfinals. TAMUT ended its season at the quarterfinals against LSUA.

OLLU vs. TAMUT
Thursday, Nov. 6
OLLU improved significantly this year from last under the direction of second-year Head Coach Lee Williams. They finished with an 8-7-2 record and a 7-5-1 conference record in 2024. This season, the Saints have an 11-4-2 overall record and finished with a conference record of 8-2-1. They have won their last six games, outscoring their opponents 35-2, with four of those matches ending in shutouts. The team is second overall in the conference in goals with 57 and in shots with 391.
Keeper London Suarez led her team with an 7-2-2 record. Sophomore Eleonora Diversi, playing in her second season, recorded 15 goals - second in the conference - took 73 shots, 40 on goal, and scored four game-winning goals. She is third in the conference in goals Junior forward Leah Tapia leads the team and the conference in assists with 11.
TAMUV, 8-4-2 overall and 5-3-3 in conference, ranks fourth on defense with a 1.29 GAA, and keeper Jamie Noriega leads the conference in save percentage at .823. She is also third in conference in goals against average at 1.15. The team won its last match, against North American (Texas), 2-1. The Jaguars fell to OLLU 6-0 at the end of October. Last season, the team finished with an 11-6 overall record and a 8-5 conference record.
Noriega recorded a 4-3-5 record, while fellow keeper Abree Fry is at 4-1.
Standout forward Ayloni Garcia leads her team in goals with 14, and she is fourth in the conference in shooting with 58, 32 on goal.
First-year Head Coach Kimberly Uetrecht leads the Jaguars.
TAMUT vs. LSUA
Friday, Nov. 7
TAMUT is at 12-4-2 overall and finishes at 7-3-1 in conference. The Eagles have won four of their last five games and have marked a conference-leading 10 shutouts. The team is fourth in conference in total goals with 59 and in assists with 43. The Eagles are also fourth in saves with 69.
Keeper Layla Anaya is 8-4-2 overall and has recorded 52 saves for a percentage of .765, third in the conference. Forward Desiree Narvaez leads her team with 18 goals and is second in the conference. Midfielder Lillian Miller is third in the conference with 10 assists. Midfielder Brooklyn Lattier is second overall in the RRAC with 72 shots, just one shot less than OLLU's Diversi.
TAMUT is led by Don Koontz, now in his 10th season.
LSUA is 10-7-1 overall and marked an 8-2-1 record in conference. The Generals have won six of their last eight games, tallying one loss and one tie. Seven of their wins were shutouts.
Midfielder Alexia Bermejo leads the Generals with 12 goals and four assists for 28 points. Forward Sara Escribano has recorded 10 goals and five assists for 25 points. Keeper Yanira Herraez has made nine starts in 10 appearances, and she has made 17 saves and posted a goals against average of 1.44. Her overall record is 5-3-1.
LSUA Head Coach Mark Hammond began his tenure in 2022.
Winners of each match will advance to the semifinals that will be held on Monday, Nov. 10, at Eagle Field hosted by Texas A&M-Texarkana.
