Uriarte, Dagher named RRAC women's soccer offensive and defensive players of the week
WACO, Texas -- Mada Uriarte of LSU Shreveport (La.) earned RRAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors for Oct. 6-12, while Shakiana Dagher of Xavier University (La.) won RRAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates.
RRAC Offensive Player of the Week – Mada Uriarte, LSU Shreveport
Uriarte scored three goals last week for the Pilots. She netted a goal in a 4-1 victory over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) on Thursday. She delivered two more on Saturday in a 3-2 win over Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Uriarte is tied for seventh in the conference with 19 points. The Pilots stay ahead of the pack in the RRAC at 6-0 with a 7-5 mark on the season.
RRAC Defensive Player of the Week - Shakiana Dagher, Xavier
Dagher guided the Gold Nuggets to a pair of shutout victories last week. The junior also scored a goal against Jarvis Christian University (Texas) while her defensive dominance helped Xavier to continue its historic streak as the only RRAC team in the last five seasons (2021-25) to not allow a goal in their first six conference games. Xavier defeated Texas A&M University-Texarkana, 2-0, and JCU, 8-0, to move to 5-0-1 in conference play and 6-2-2 overall.

RRAC Notebook:
- Samira Roper (XULA) scored three goals in Xavier's 2-0 week. She is now tied for 4th in the NAIA with 17 goals.
- Fenja Leibner (LSUA) scored the equalizing goal in LSUA's 2-1 victory over TAMUT on Senior Day.
- Suzette Baltazer (NAU) led the team in tackles and started the counterattack with a long goal and assist in a 3-0 win over Texas College.
