LSUA's Adler, Xavier's Pacheco recognized with RRAC men's soccer weekly awards
WACO, Texas -- Paul Adler of LSU Alexandria (La.) was recognized as the RRAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 29 - Oct. 5, while Diego Pacheco of Xavier University (La.) earned the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates.
RRAC Offensive Player of the Week - Paul Adler, LSU Alexandria
LSU Alexandria's undefeated conference record was secured by Adler's three goals last week. Adler netted both goals in the win over Texas A&M University-San Antonio while also accounting for the game-winner over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) on Thursday. Adler entered from the bench in both matches. The Generals are now 4-0 in RRAC play and 9-1 on the season.
RRAC Defensive Player of the Week - Diego Pacheco, Xavier
Pacheco led Xavier to a pair of conference shutouts last week. The Gold Rush's defense allowed a total of three shots on goal with none allowed against OLLU. Pacheco also scored the team's first goal on Saturday at OLLU. "Diego covered a lot of ground, dominated the air and played strongly on defense and offense," Xavier head coach Lucas Cordeiro said. Pacheco's performance helped 18th-ranked Xavier improve to 6-1-1 overall and 3-0 in conference.
