OLLU claims sixth straight RRAC women's cross country title, Saints' Curiel is top individual

WINDCREST, Texas – Building on its streak of titles, Our Lady of the Lake raced to its sixth consecutive team title at the 2024 RRAC Women's Cross Country Championships, which was held at Windcrest Golf Course. OLLU separated from second place Texas A&M-Texarkana with four of the top five individual times and six of the top eight.

OLLU junior Mia Curiel claimed the RRAC individual championship with a time of 24:03.6 on the 6K course, 15 seconds ahead of the field. TAMUT's Zalenka Brannan finished as the runner-up and OLLU's Leilani Leza placed third.

In addition to Curiel and Leza, OLLU's other all-conference runners were Liliana Hernandez (4th), Victoria Bartlett (5th), Valeria Pena (7th) and Claudia Lopez (8th). Brannan was joined by Eagles Kayla Reeves (6th) and Daniela Hernandez (10th) on the all-conference team. Xavier's Skylah Barton earned all-conference in ninth place.

In the team standings, Xavier placed third followed by Jarvis Christian in fourth.
